The following issues were discovered by Claude and have been resolved:

  • Missing files and unsupported algorithms didn't fail check mode
  • HASH_FAIL printed under --status and didn't name the file
  • A nonexistent path exited 0 silently
  • Stdin was read into memory as text; -c, -o, --legacy were ignored
  • Filenames written unescaped
  • Uppercase hashes showed FAILED
  • -o appended to an existing file
  • -q/-s check didn't match its message
  • NEON disabled for ARM builds
  • Stale per-crate lock files

New tests exist for some of the issues, and others have been tested extensively by hand. This was done to prepare for the 1.0.0 release and to squash any bugs without changing user-facing APIs
